Demetra spent her career in television newsrooms, mastering the art of exceptional storytelling. From cable news to the nation’s top local news market, Demetra’s expertise was honed at every level.

At the core of the method is solid, persuasive writing. Demetra has helped local award winners and individuals present dynamic speeches that impress a crowd. She develops content and biographies for corporate websites and nurtures clients to speak in alignment with their goals.

Beyond the Media Lab, Demetra shares her expert on-air talents with Fairfield County LOOK, the premier digital magazine in southern Connecticut. She moderates live special events and seminars, co-produces collaborations with local non-profits, like that with Breast Cancer Alliance, and writes scripts and directs marketing videos for small businesses.

Demetra’s guilty pleasure is stealing time to write her Megaphone Monday blog, a collection of personal essays born of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the concept stuck.

Demetra is also co-host of Get Louder podcast, a playbook for uplifting women.  The capsule collection of conversations are a one-stop-shop for creating deeper connections with those we love.

Her career has been a dream come true for the Worcester, MA native who took an unexpected leap into journalism at Boston University’s College of Communication.  She launched her career as a news writer in Boston at NBC’s WHDH, and never looked back. She leapt to New York City, accepting a coveted position as an NBC Page, shepherding celebrity guests during Will Ferrell’s final season at Saturday Night Live!

Anchoring and reporting the news took her on a tour of New York state, from for the joint ABC/NBC affiliates WIVT/WBGH in Binghamton, Albany’s ABC affiliate WTEN, and ultimately back to New York City, reporting at WCBS.

Her greatest achievement, though, has nothing to do with her career. Demetra and her husband, George, have three exuberant children who are the center of their world.
